My kurma for breaking fast for Ramadhan 2008.

1. Kurma purchased from Coles...@AU3.50.

My preparation for 1 week Ramadhan;

1. Minced meat (stir fried with garlic n pepper)

2. The minced meat could be used for :roti john, taco (taco shells),fried macaroni,fried udon noodles,nasi goreng.

Keep a look out for my new dishes...

Time now is 12.20am...I am trying to do my 2000 words essay but managed to do around 900+ words...due in 2 weeks time.

Hopefully tommorow I can do another 500 words...then its 3/4 battle won.Insya.

What is in store for me on Sunday?

1. Do Anthro - 1 more summary
2. Compile Linguistic Survey Data - Do report - editing
3. Advertisement Analysis - another 500 words
4. Read up on my Psycho - Development and Cognition

Do I have time for all these tomorrow?

Jemput-jemput bawang with ikan bilis

Hi Luv,

My very own jemput-jemput bawang.

Ingredients:

1) Self raising flour
2)1 bawang
3)Ikan bilis-secukup mane nak makan
4)Salt
4)Pepper
5)Parsley

*5) Mix taugeh if u want(I mix it for the last 4 keping of the jemput-jemput)

Sos Ling_Ham...jangan lupa!

Steps:

1) Mix flour and water...batter not too thin nor thick...estimate
2)add in onion,ikan bilis (wash first), salt, pepper and parsley.
3)Oil must be heated before hand

Jemput makan... : )

Is there any underlying loop hole in sexual ideology , like the hole in my Longchamp bag???Sigh!

I have finished my reading on this journal article.Just to share a 1/4 of it...

In this particular society, the cultural ideology stated that males exerted their masculinity over women through sexual seduction,clouded magic or even coerced by force by relatives!The women have no freedom who to choose for their husbands.

And because of this cultural ideology that male must be dominant in his sexual activities, the men will actually look for other alternatives to exercise his manhood.In marital r/ship, that is his intimate sexual experience with his wife, he was not overtly powerful over his wife because she is now in control of their sexual acts. She thinks if she has more sexual activities with her husband, this implies more children will be reproduce therefore extra work in child rearing and looking into her children's health.So wife controls the frequency of having sex after marriage.This will gear the man to resort having extra-marital affairs with another submissive and keen lover, in which he has more say in his sexual rendevous!


When I was reading this article, this kind of thing is actually happening in our current society (not generalizing) but true for some cases..

So is it because of cultural belief tt if a man cant demonstrate his manhood in his sexual act with his wife (wife iss tired,avoidance of having more ch,attending to domesticated task,etc), he should look for another alternative?

What do u think?I am not implying anything but its an open discussion.

I have made myself a cup of Nescafe for my breakfast. Now is 10.20am...just did my laundry and now TRYING to do my Anthropology summaries of bibiliography.Managed to complete 1 yesterday...next target will be 2 summaries till lunch time. Insyallah will make it.

What is it all about?

I have to search for books and journal articles(peer-reviewed) relating to any of the anthro concepts such as culture, society, gender,nature,sex and a few others.

I have to summarise in 200 words for each of the articles or book sections selected. Sounds easy?I dun tink so...journal articles can be as long as 20 pages, book chapters can be a few pages long!And dun forget, referencing according to Harvard system which I am still learning now.Sigh!I dont remember doing all this in Poly, NIE or SIM...or is it I am unconscious about it? I really am not sure!

Currently, I am learning 2 types of referencing, Harvard and APA (Psychology).This APA is a standard form of referencing in the field of Psychology.So I am a little bit confused rite now...Sigh!

But never mind...help is in the way...I can approach the Centre for Learning & Development for assistance. I went there last two weeks to get feedback on my 2000 words assignment. Valuable input given!Must make use of the Uni services...its o.k to be kiasu and kanchong on foreign land!

O.k I tink I have to go and hit the books and journal readings now...I have picked an interesting topic on SEX!Its all about why n how sex and gender are different in society?Is it differed by traits and behaviours?Biological influence?Social Structures? Environmental & Psychological?Better not get carried away...if not my summaries will be done in my blog!

Update u more on my summaries development!So there I am sitting on the chair, hitting the keyboards to come up with 400 words...

I am on a huge granite solid rock! I am @ Victor Harbour_Granite Island. I need to cross the 'causeway' before I can reach the Granite Island. There is horse-drawn carriage too but must pay for the ride.

Here is another dish fried by me. Just have the feel to eat mee goreng mamak!

Tried to do something similar like East Coast punyer but it turns out to be otherwise!

Taste not too bad but there is room for a LOT of improvement!

Another picture is my Fried Chicken with batter...looks gd but the taste is SUPERB!

Laksa reinvented!

Here is my first ever made laksa, concocted in August 08 @ Adelaide. Tell you how to do it...

Ingredients:
1) Tuna
2)Kara santan
3)Udon noodles
4)Taugeh
5)Zuchini
6)Ikan bilis stock
7)Laksa paste
8)Galangal
9)Onions

As for the amount for each ingredients, it is trial and error!It tastes as good as it looks! Yummy!

3) Grilled tandoori n honey soy chicken drums to perfection

Bought the cfud mix @ AU6.00, chicken drums at AU7.00, broc n carrot AU1.00 from Central Market (CM).

Take a peek at my end products...succulent chicken and spicy soup to end the week!

More food to be shared...(the food were not transferred to another plate or bowl in order to cut down the time for dish-washing...cook smart not cook hard!)

Meeting Kate Richards..one of the nicest Aussies ever!

Friday is my happening day...not for clubbling but shopping but not in Rundle Mall but at Central Maeket! I know its lame but its happening when I feel gd about my own cooking!

Last nite, I whipped up Chinese style broc n carrot dish!Saute garlic and add in the veg (blanch first) then add light soy sauce n oyster sauce and 1/2 corn flour(mix with water)...taste like Chai Chee Cfud one the authentic dishes there!


More details to come....(Btw, the two guys are not Adelaidean...they are Sporean(cute little brat) and Pro_UK males who came to send another Sporean to study @ Adelaide Uni...who is ME!!!
