Im back in Singapore for winter break

Salut!

Occupe!Occupe!Occupe!

Last weekend, Hendra had his first flick playing Subbuteo. I am impressed.
On Thursday 2n July, he had his first trial on Badminton...I am impressed too...he seems to be have a natural flair for the sport. The manner in which he held the shuttlecock and the racket was awesome. In fact, that was his first time 'seeing' and 'holding' those things.

Then at nite, while watching the Asian Youth Game bowling...he demonstrated the movement in impressive style. Thumbs up again! ; )

Soccer...he seems to have innate ability. Insya.

A week has passed and I am ending my home-quarantine today, Friday 3rd July 2009. Will be having lunch @ Seoul Garden with my Temasek frens and then coffee @ Coffee Bean...looking forward to the gathering.

Saturday, will be heading to Wild Wild Wet with my sis & the kiddos in the morning...I will be meeting my Bedok Pri frens @ Kaki Bukit for tea. Nite, will be having dinner to celebrate my FIL birthday.

Sunday...no plans as yet but most likely going for seafood dinner with coligs @ Tanjung Pelepas. It has been a while since I eat the tom yum..depends on my dear hubby referee schedule.

Its going to be a yummy delicious & busy weekend.

Au revoir!

Nasi Lemak

Hi Luv,

Another new experimental dish.

I cooked nasi lemak on Friday. Nasi lemak and accompaniments: ikan bilis~anchovies(Spore mari), hard boil eggs, cucumber(bought the wrong one...turns out to be zucchini...taste odd), grilled tandoori and honey soy drumlets, terung balado(still needs to learn) and last but but not least...sambal (chilli paste) power!

My housemate, Adeline cooked the rice and Ain does the dishes. My housemates and I makan berdamai...Carolyn tried a bit coz its too spicy for her.Well, at least she made an effort to try...including her beau!Adeline too has 'thin' tongue and could not stand the spicyness of the sambal initially but once she got the hangover, she spread the samball on the zucchini, top it up with anchovies!

Then my neighbour, Jess from Alice Spring, Claire from South Africa gave us scones, jam and fresh cream...for dessert! They are moving out at the end of the month to another house coz they said the Village rent is getting steeper. They have stayed here for 2 years in all.

All in all, my experimental dish turns out excellent except the sambal, needs to reduce the belachan and chilli for future undertakings.

Any idea what dish to cook next?I have all the spices and stuffs but no idea what to cook...

Till then..wait for my new dish.
